NORTH LOMBOK, February 11th, 2016: some outputs of “Words To Mother” (2016), a text-based art project conducted by Sulung Widya Prasastyo.
On Thursday, February 11th, 2016, Sulung Widya Prasastyo (a participant of akumassa) started his collaboration with citizens of Tebango backwoods. His project entitled “WORDS TO MOTHER” is a text-based works that is being made in some sites in Pemenang, one of wich is Tebango backwoods. In the backwoods, the works based on the idea by Komunitas Kearifan Lokal Tebango (K2LT) is to write down sentences of wisdom taken from Buddhist’s Holy Book on the 90 x 20 cm boards.
Sulung was not alone to make the works. There were some friends in Tebango who helped him. A lot of materials, such as paint, paintbrush, thinner even snacks, as a contributions of mothers and K2LT, were a proof of the Tebango people’s enthusiasm. The text-based works will be displayed in every houses’ yard, and for the Bangsal Menggawe 2016: Membasaq, the works will be brought during the march to the harbor.
