Otty Widasari

b. 1973. She lives and works in Jakarta. Otty Widasari is an artist (mainly painter and video artist), filmmakers, media activists, writer and curator. She had once studied journalism in IISIP Jakarta, and graduating visual art studies of the Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ). She is one of the founders of the Forum Lenteng. Since 2008, Otty has been a Program Director of akumassa: Community-Based Media Education.

As a filmmaker, she has made a documentary, entitled Naga Yang Berjalan Di Atas Air (2012), which was presented at the 4th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival, South Korea. Her other works have been presented at various international events, among others: Translated SPACE, ID Conteporary Art of Indonesia, Kunstraum Kreuzberg, Berlin (2010); Yogyakarta Biennale (2013); Jakarta Biennale (2013); and SeMA Biennale Mediacity Seoul, South Selatan (2014). In 2011, Otty was one of nominee for Indonesian Art Awards.
