Practicing Sematian’s Music

In accordance with agreement the day before, hence in the afternoon of February 6th, 2016, Muhaimi had been ready to practice together with kids from Karang Baru backwoods, playing the music of sematian/perisean. The group that will be formed out of this practice will be the music player who accompany the perisean dancing and theatre. At 04.00 WITA, Muhaimi together with the kids were looking for some secondhand goods which can produce good sounds. After they had collected the secondhand goods, Muhaimi started to teach the rhythm and tempo so that they can produce the rhythmic sounds in harmony. While they were playing the music, suddenly some kids who want to be a perisean dancer followed the music and then went dancing.

After forming the music group, Muhaimi continued to make the dancing group. However, they only had a limit time at the day. So, when it was getting dusk, then they all agreed to postpone the practice and will continue it on Monday, February 8th, 2016.
