“Painting For People Census” Hujjatul Islam

Since February 1st, 2016, all of participants started to continue their process in making artwork. Hujjatul Islam, a painter from North Lombok, in the early morning execute his  project: to record hundreds people in Pemenang with portrait painting. He put his tools in his black bag. In this project, Jatul made a sketches of people’s face. Like an official employee, Jatul visited the residents from one house to another and did a kind of interview during make a painting of the interviewee.

This project are really interesting. Jatul uses his hobby of painting people in order to be closer with citizens to know their stories. Jatul has a target to make five hundreds paintings and will present them in Syah Bandar buildings at Bangsal Harbor, as a part of Bangsal Menggawe 2016: Membasaq. He will continue this project until he get 500 paintings.
