Asta Met Mr. Subhan

On the evening of February 7th, 2016, Ahmad Saleh Tabibudin AKA Asta (a participant of akumassa Chronicle), together with Muhammad Sibawaihi (Program Director of pasirputih) and Syamsul Hadi (a member of pasirputih) as well as Bujangan Urban and Hujjatul Islam (another two of participants of akumassa Chronicle), visited Mr. Subhan in the Karang Baru backwoods, West Pemenang Village. The visit was in the framework of finding the possibilities to work in collaboration with Mr. Subhan and residents in the Bangsal for his artwork process. Asta’s first plan, which is inviting the local football players from all backwoods in Pemenang, seems constrained, because one of young leader in Karang Desa backwoods (the one who became Asta’s informant) was not sure that Bangsal can be used as a place to conduct a real football competition.

That’s why then Asta tried to negotiate with some people in the Bangsal. Mr. Subhan, a resident who are one of local leader and public figure in Bangsal, agreed with Asta’s idea to conduct a kind of football competition, but the format of the event need to be a “beach football competition” in which everybody (not only the local football professionals) can participate within the competition. They thought that it’s the first time to be held in Pemenang. Even they thought as well if people give a good response, they will conduct the same event every year, and become people’s celebration initiated by locals.

According to the plan, after the visit, Asta together with Bangsal’s representations will design the structure of committee and the concept of the beach football competition. Asta also plans to meet Mr. Subhan again tomorrow.
