Agreeing the Testamentary of Pemenang

In the afternoon, on Friday, February 12th, 2016, although the rain was falling down on Pemenang, the spirit of pasirputih’s member to facilitate the meeting between Ismal Muntaha (a participant of akumassa Chronicle) and some public figures of Pemenang to talk about the Testamentary of Pemenang was not recede. The Testamentary of Pemenang is part of artwork project conducted by Ismal Muntaha in the framework of his residency at pasirputih, Pemenang Subdistrict, for akumassa Chronicle. Eventhough we were worried due to some guests seemed not to come, the attendance of the Chief of Pemenang Subdistrict, the Headman of Malaka Village, the Headman of West Pemenang Village, Mr. Metawadi (a representative of Buddhist) and Mr. Nengah Karuna (a representative of Hindus) raised our desire to begin the meeting straightway.

Muhammad Sibawaihi (Program Director at pasirputih) gave an introduction with explaining how important the Testamentary of Pemenang for local citizens of Pemenang is. Because, Pemenang which has a high values of religious harmony has n’t yet been seen by the world. After the introduction, Ismal Muntaha started to explain his idea initiating the making of Testamentary of Pemenang, as well as his design for its content and presentations. After his clear explanation, the meeting participants agreed that the testaments formula composed by Ismal has been appropriate. Indeed, the formula of the draft made by Ismal was based on his discussions with some public figures whom he met in a few days before. There were some inputs to Ismal in the meeting, such as to change some words in the draft. However, the inputs didn’t really make a change of the core meaning of the whole contents.

The meeting was closed with an agreement that by the time Testamentary of Pemenang will be read on February 28th 2016 in the event of Bangsal Menggawe 2016: Membasaq, the people of Pemenang will start a new history, that is be part of the history itself. In addition, there’s also a big hope of the public figures that Pemenang people have interests to study the history of Piagam Menggala at the Bale Beleq Menggala.
